I noticed this pain a week or so ago on my upper thigh. I wrote it off as a pinched nerve but after examining my right thigh I noticed a mole-like bump that was light brown. I started touching it and realized this was the pain source. It feels like a sting or burn similar to sunburn. I tend to freak out easily with this stuff and I don't currently have insurance. The other night I started rubbing and I think scratch at the bump then pulled the hairs around this bump or mole. Immediately after I pulled the hairs, I noticed there was that watery substance on the bump like you get in a blister. Is this normal after pulling thigh hairs? It eventually got a sore which I assume is from the pulled hair but not sure. I am putting Neosporin and a bandage on the sore. It looks like an ulcered center with red agitation surrounding it as a border. It was a light brown bump like I said. Do I need to panic or just wait this out? About a year ago, I had a similar feeling in this thigh like a pinched nerve but it went away. Thanks.

It sounds like an ingrown hair. Neosporin is a good thing to treat it with, after you've removed the hair. If it doesn't look better in a week or so, or if it starts to hurt a lot more or the red area spreads, then see a doctor.
