Not true. Average age of epiphyseal plate plate fusion is 17 in males and 15 in females. It's highly likely his vertical growth is done. As far as 25, that's just some biochemical changes in the frontal lobe of the brain likely due to the aging process starting at 25. Yes your body starts aging at that point and you become more risk averse.
In a study of 300 males, 100 percent were done growing at 19. That being said if you took a larger population sample, you'd fine odd cases of people growing past that age, but it's very rare. He has less than a 1 percent chance of getting any more height. Testoserone over time fuses the growth plates. THat's why taking steroids can "stunt" your growth.
We keep trying to raise the age of what's considered an adult, but biology doesn't lie.
Good info. I now know it likely won't happen but I'll still remain hopeful, they chances may be slim but there's still a chance nonetheless.
I grew 1/2-1 inch between age 14-20. I'm 6'2". My younger brother on the other hand grew 3-4 inches in the same age time span of 14-20. He's 6'5"-6'6". That wasn't suppose to happen lol. You don't know what will happen but I haven't seen anybody personally that I know have any noticeable growth past 18. Although my dad had a late growth spurt but it didn't happen to me.
Be thankful you have a fully functioning body. Now go out there and do something great with it!
