Hey all,

I was wondering if someone could help me with some information about a rash that I have had. It's first started about 18 months ago on one side of my nose and recently started on the opposite side. They are not connected but in the same general areas. They are generally light pink and sometimes brighten up and dead skin will flake from the areas. Also sometimes they fade but never really go away. You can see them if you look hard enough. Any ideas on what it might be would be greatly appreciated.

Ryan

I don't if I had the same thing you have but mine turned out to be eczema, went to the
dermatologist and got a cortisone shot. Haven't had any problems since.

Were they able to cure or control your husbands condition? Also, I have googled and looked at multiple photos and I do not believe I have the signs or symptoms of lupus rash.

I had something like what you describe, and it turned out to be rosacea.

Sounds to me like you should get to a dermatologist.

My husband washes his face with tar shampoo daily, which was enough to control the redness and flakes for a couple of years. Recently it started getting worse and he's been treating it with the product I use for rosacea, which contains ivermectin. That seems to have cleared it up entirely.
