Hi, making a long story short. 3 year's ago had a sebaceous cyst on my left scapula area, was there for 8 to 10 year's, become infected after a pimple formed on the cyst. Became infected and inflamed so had it lanced. 2 week's later sebaceous cyst appeared on the back left area of my neck.
The cyst never was an issue it formed then dissappear. Sometimes lasted a week to 4 week's. What made it protrude was usually after I trimmed the back area of my hair.
So few weeks ago became inflamed and infected. When to the urgent care and ER where they wouldn't lance it, but instead gave me a week's worth of antibiotics. Then went to my PCP who gave me 2 more week's of antibiotics and referred me to a surgeon, appointment in a week.
I forgot to mention to my PCP and those involved in my care it also appears when tired or stress. I had a change in my schedule so sleep pattern changed. Then able to rest with snow storm's and holiday's.
Now back to my normal schedule sleep is off because work various shifts and attend college on various day's/hour's. With my sleep being 5 to 6 hours this week the cyst is starting to grow again.
Should I mention this to the surgeon when I see him? Think any relation to imbalance in hormones like serotonin?
