Do you shower as soon as you wake up? (cough, ears, once a week)

When I wake up at night to go to work, I usually go and take a shower. Sometimes I have a coffee first, sometimes I don't. Depends on how awful I feel.
Just because you don't get sweaty or dirty over the course of your day doesn't mean other folks don't. I always think it odd to hear people say "well, I don't do that, so it's weird that other people DO"....
I don't mean odd in a bad way - I guess I just don't understand it. Unless I was working in my garden or at the gym sweating I never feel dirty when I get in to bed at night. Now when I was married and having regular "nighttime activities" I would take a quick shower before I got into bed and another one when I got up.
I don't. One cat routinely sits right outside the shower door and watches me. When I finish, the other one comes into the bathroom and curls up in the sink while I comb out my hair. When I go down the stairs, they both weave in between my feet, trying to kill me so they can eat me.
When I was working I would shower first thing in the morning. New that I've retired most mornings its feed the cats, grab and energy bar and go for a bike ride. One the mornings I go to Pilates or Yoga its feed the cats, shower and then grab an energy bar to eat on the way.
How do people eat breakfast before brushing their teeth?
Doesn't food taste different with morning breath?
Actually, good breath is a side benefit of brushing - the real benefit is cleaning your teeth of food and bacteria that can result in cavities if they stay on your teeth all day (or night). That's why it's best to brush before bed and AFTER eating breakfast...unless you brush both before AND after?
On work days or days when I'm going somewhere, I'm showering within a few minutes of waking up. On non-work days or if I'm going to the beach or going surfing, cutting the grass first, etc. I don't shower until after I get home or once I'm done mowing the yard. Some people, like every girl I've ever been with, prefer to shower and put make up on before they go to the beach and then again after.
This is exactly what I do---- shower during the week when I first get up because of work. Weekends, I usually shower either later in the day....or wait to hit the beach first, then come home to shower.
I shower at night only. For some reason if I shower in the morning, the steam agitates my asthma and I cough like the dickens. I also prefer not to go to bed dirty.
I only shower every 3 days and wash my hair once a week, but that's mainly because I'm a lazy sack of **** and I don't exercise hard enough to get very sweaty most days. I'm also fortunate to have a non-sweaty job.
