I've always changed my clothes every day, pants, shirts and all the rest...a new set every day!! I just talked to one guy and he says he just changes his shirt every day but wears his pants for 3-4 days as he considers changing these everyday "wasteful" since he is not doing anything like exercise to soil them Is this normal?

I change mine every day. After wearing pants for more than a day, they get really uncomfortable and sag a lot. Also, your skin is a lot dirtier than you realize, even immediately after you bathe. Bacteria rub off of your body and into clothing.

Ewww! I never thought of that. Maybe I'll start running around nude, I'll tell the wife these posts led me to that conclusion .

OK that is wrong even for me.

There is an asian guy at my work who wears the same pants weeks in a row. Luckily someone must have bought him a new pair because he's switched it up. Same yellow sweater too. Yellow sweater and tan/beige jeans DAILY...talk about gross.

However, I do not wash my jeans often...I get a good 5-8 wears out of them, unless they are real dirty. Shirts are a different story. The 5-8 wears can last a couple months because I have enough pairs to spread it around.

Umm no. Although I think single men are more likely to do that then anyone else I would guess. But yuck...

In that case, I'd probably get 2 days out of them, not sure about more then that. If they need to be dry cleaned then yes I would push it. If he is clean, showers regularly and the pants don't get dirty I see nothing wrong with it. Shirts are a different story.

I have a teenage girl, I can't tell you how many times a day she changes her clothes then tries to throw them in the hamper. I'm talking she's at home, not doing anything to get dirty, just changed her mind about wearing them.

I don't wash my pants after every wear, sweaters either. Jeans get about 5 uses or so .... until they are too stretched out. Dress pants usually get two or three wears (I always change out of my work clothes and hang them up right away) and sweaters (always wear an undershirt or t-shirt) only two or three times a season!!

I think it is a waste of water and laundry detergent (and my time) to wash these items any more often....unless I spilled something on them!
