My friend was in a coma for 4 months and was has been in rehabilitation for 2 months. I went to see him yesterday and he can't leave. It's obvious. He has a job interview later in the week! He has to drive himself. To be blunt he is delusional. His friend hooked him up with a job interview. His friend is an idiot. Doesn't he not see He can't live on his own. He can't work and can't drive. I think he needs a few more months not days or weeks. He can't live at home by himself. I don't know what to do. He wants me to drive him home in Wednesday. I think it's self suicide to be blunt again. I think he is motivated about making money again. Should I refuse to take him home? He will just find someone else.

He doesn't have family but maybe the social workers there is a good idea but I'm not immediate family. I don't know what they will tell me.

Well it is likley they can't discuss him with you, but you can let them know what he is planning & they may intervene. He probably doesn't realize he may have to be on disability for a while before he can go back to work ( if ever) . I think he just doesn't "get" how disabled heis at the moment. But alert the social workers & refuse to give him a ride.

I am really bad at this. How can I refuse to give him a ride? What should I say? He may just get upset at me. I have said nicely basically are you sure you know what you are doing. I'm worried about being more direct. Should I just give an excuse. He probably has a job interview Thursday or Friday which I think is his huge motivator

Grow up. Do what's right for your friend and tell him no.
