To be honest, I look at my own pictures from when I was in my early twenties I barely recognize myself. When you look at early pictures of older people that you know, how often do you actually recognize them?

Aging. If there is a better sub for this I have no problem with it being moved.

I recently had to go back to where my family is and where I grew up. I went on Facebook to look up old friends from school and when I went to the alumni site I could only recognize a couple of people. I look the same just an older version; these people's appearances had changed due to weight issues...they were all obese! I stare at the photos and I can't seem to see the person they were in the face; not even my closest friend...so this question is right up my alley at this time.

I want to say what the blank is wrong with all of you. When we went to school there wasn't a fat person in the school that I remember. We had gym every day too back then. I think that has a lot to do with childhood obesity never mind the high fructose corn syrup, fast food and GMOs.

If you're saving for retirement and think you're going to sit and eat whatever you want and not exercise; get ready for a shock some day unless you're lucky.

This has to do with health IMO. A Persons looks can change from being obese, having certain diseases, etc... How well one ages, stress. OMG; all health issues. I have no problem seeing myself and people recognize me from 40 years ago. I have always advocated good diet and exercise and act as a role model to my kids. Then there is plastic surgery and other things that can change a person's looks.

My mom is 74 and looks pretty much the same. People recognize her all of the time and are shocked that she hasn't changed more.

I still look the same. Yes I am older but I am not ashamed of my looks. I am not as skinny as I use to be years ago but I am not shameful looking. I can't do a lot due to health issues but I have seemed to keep myself looking decent. Being married to someone younger has helped as well. I do not look at people's bodies because I know we are all older and things happen - I don't judge people I guess is what I meant.

Was not a sun worshiper - never smoked - have not had a drink in a long time. My choice. :-)

I'm just happy to still be alive when so many are passing on...that's sad to me.
