To piggyback on the above, OP, think of it like this.... The scope is not a procedure...it's just another part of the physical exam the ENT is doing. From the physician's perspective, the flexible scope is just a piece of equipment they use. So common, that a new clean scope was sitting in every exam room each time I went to the ENT's office this summer (twice for me and once for my 10 yo). They don't scope every patient, but they scope a lot.

Yes you're right! I keep freaking myself out thinking about it as a procedure. That makes me feel better....a professional is going to do it anyways. Thanks for your insight I appreciate it a lot
