I am on day 7 of Gastroenteritis. My stools were bloody but now turning brown again, does this mean the infection is healing?

If you have bloody stools you need to see a doctor. Gastroenteritis usually only lasts a day or two.

It doesn't. Doctor said it can last between 2-10 days and bloody/mucousy stools can be seen

Maybe. But I would still see a doctor if you haven't already. Blood in your stool should never be ignored.

You must have got a bad strain. Anytime there's blood in your stool you should contact your GP, which it sounds like you have.

You should be on the mend with your symptoms easing up. Having normal stool again is a good sign. Just know you can still be shedding the virus through your stool for 3 days after your symptoms stop.
