I don't think one can go wrong with Jarrow or Now Foods. I currently take Jarrow Formulas EPA-DHA Balance which contains Omega 3's also.

Did you throw away the little dessicant packets in the bottle? They are there to keep the product dry.

I'm in Phoenix, I buy from Sam's Club, and never had a problem with anything melting or sticking.

If you are that concerned buy smaller quantities so you can use them up faster.

Iherb is a quality supplier with superior brands like Nordic Naturals. They offer great discounts on 1 day shipping. I currently pay only $6 for UPS next day shipping if my order is large enough. I like one day shipping since it minimizes the time sitting in transit.

To avoid shipping during super hot weather just order a years supply during the winter. Iherb also lists the expiration dates for their products in stock. The Nordic Naturals, Omega-3, 690 mg, 120 Soft Gels are currently showing a 5/2020 expiration date.

If you order anything from Amazon that you intend to eat you are a fool. Sorry, I enjoy the site and the savings as much as any place on the net, but there is so much counterfeiting going on that it is impossible to rate the consumables there as safe. You might as well order prescription drugs from the first site you find on a google search.
"Best if sold by date means NOTHING!"

To answer your question, buy from a local supplier who will take returns.

I've had exceptional luck with this company. They are competitive in their pricing, deliver quickly, and
I've never received a bad product. Been using them since 2009.

This is why eating raw fish is always better. Omega 3s are protected by astaxanthin, CoQ10, vitamin C, vitamin E, iodine etc inside the fish. Nature usually has a darn good way of protecting itself.

If you absolutely cannot, I recommend NOW Foods Neptune Krill Oil. It's a little less "purified", so it keeps its astaxanthin, and I don't know what else. But it tastes fresh. My store refrigerates it. It's also in phospholipid form, and probably in the SN-2 position, which is great. NEVER buy the ethyl ester form.

I have used various brands, rarely got any rancid omega-3.

What I do with each new bottle is bite into the very first pill.....if it is rancid, yikes, you WILL taste it! Rancid fish-oil tastes very rotten, almost impossible to miss. Good fish-oil will taste mild, just a little fishy.

I live in Hawaii and have had no trouble with fish oil from costco.

We use the Carlson brand Norwegian fish oil, the company is well-known and respected for product purity. Carlson is one of the original manufacturers and have been around since the early 80s.

There's no reason not to purchase the product online. We order all of our supplements from Vitacost and have never had any difficulties whatsoever. They're an extremely popular outlet due to significant cost savings and all products are fully guaranteed.

As far as flax seed, it's fine to take a bit on a daily basis but, if you're a woman, you need to take caution since it does contain plant estrogen which has it's own effects both positive and negative.
