It depends on the medication...

Something like blood pressure meds can certainly have a short term risk for your heart or your stroke risk. The long term risk is your kidneys. Your more likely to have a heart attack or stroke if your BP is elevated. Now, it isn't as if you WILL have on if you miss them, but why run the risk?
