I am going to agree with seeing a doctor first. Find out the underlying issue if there is one. You will get a lot of conflicting information here. Also eliminating all the things you posted at once will not give you the information you need. Gluten is a problem if you have celiacs. Not so much if you don't.

TY but it may be IBS or colitis? Unsure but everytime after any food, post-meal, I immediate need to "clear-out my bowels" & thus it is either psychogenic or physiologic? So, I had a colonoscopy 10yrs ago in my 40s & may be due again. Mom died @ 61 of colon cancer, so it is wise to check it.

I still think wheat products do add to my GI distress tho. But again no evidence to clearly back it up. My one doc thinks it s just a "nervous stomach", as have issues of late w/ major anxiety.

How are you treating your anxiety? Attacking that head on could probably help your quality of life a lot, and who knows.... may help your GI symptoms too.

But start keeping a log of what you are eating this week, and what happens to your GI track, and see if you see any true correlations. Then take that information and see a gastroenterologist. Call today and make an appointment. You can kill two birds with one stone..... set up your follow-up colonoscopy and get some advice about your bowel changes.

I would not just start cutting out foods on your own. If you have symptoms all the time, then no need to start cutting out wheat. Doesn't make any sense, makes eating nutritious meals more challenging and pricey, and means you are delaying treating the true problem.

Symptoms like you describe are not typical for colon cancer, so I want to reassure you about that. But it is always good to keep up to date on your colonoscopies since that is such an easy way to cure cancer before it even starts!

Sorry to hear about your Mom. That would cause me to have more anxiety too.
