Or is there?

It's the only thing I really could use for major arthritis pain. Especially when I plant stuff in my yard and then cannot do anything the next day.

Had stomach ulcers from continued use of Advil in the past. Doc said to only use Tylenol. That does not help with inflammation. Can't someone produce an ibupropen patch for us sufferers?

There might be an ibuprofen gel and ibuprofen patch in the UK, haven't checked this info out thoroughly though.

I found many pain patches from other parts of the world on popular online suppliers. I'm looking at them and may try one or two. I've had the script pain patch and they did nothing. I don't know about the ibuprofen patches.

I often buy Aspercream with 4% lidocaine, does pretty good. And affordable.

You'd still be at risk of gastric ulcers if you took ibuprofen transdermally, unfortunately. NSAIDs such as ibuprofen are prostagladin inhibitors, and prostaglandins play an important role in protecting the stomach mucosa.

www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/10749095

And from this paper: "The pathogenesis of symptomatic peptic ulcer disease caused by repeated exposure to NSAIDs is mainly a consequence of systemic (post-absorptive) inhibition of gastrointestinal mucosal cyclo-oxygenase (COX) activity. Even intravenous or intramuscular administration of aspirin or NSAIDs can cause gastric or duodenal ulcers in animals and humans "

However, topical use results in lower blood levels and may be associated with lower risk.

You could purchase a topical ibuprofen called Ibuleve through Amazon.com Canada, if that helps at all.

Yes, there is. It's called Ibuleve and I ordered it on Ebay with free shipping. Should receive in about 10 days. Thank you. Will let everyone know if it works.
