It is NOT a sign of good health for a 54 year old man to have no libido. And if you've never been to a doctor, how would you know whether or not you have a medical issue that is contributing to this? I have "known" a couple of 54 year old men with plenty of drive - I'm currently married to one!

It could be that you have low testosterone levels, which could be treated. It could be that you have an underlying physical condition, which needs to be treated. Loss of libido might not be the worst consequence of that untreated condition!
Depression, too, often leads to loss of libido.
I guess the stuff inside will vary by person. Sex was a sport for me once i found AOL chat rooms in the 90's and i guess i burned myself out as it was so easy to meet and do you know what. I just don't have the will anymore or the fire to even look on Craigslist like i used too once the AOL chats went belly up.

I have never been married or been in love so that was never a problem. Never even dated. I just liked my time with a girl for a while and say bye bye and move on to the next. At least looking at the bright side i am saving lots of money.

I guess some men change in others ways compared to other men. Never drank or did drugs and have been 100% lucky all my life with no problems.

Never was into that really milly. I started late in life and in my 30's is when i blew thru over a 150 girls in a few years time thanks to AOL. I was never one to go out and meet people or go to bars as i never drank.

My life at age 7 till mid 30's was spent fishing offshore 60 to 150 miles for days at a time and never wanted to get close anyone anyways in a loving way. So i made up for lost time in my 30's. The way my parnets would fight for 55 years was enough to tell myself i never wanted a woman in my life.

For two, sounds like your heart may have some congested little arteries; please, find your way to figure how to do stress test. One as such, now sleeps in our other room. Are you smoker, by any chance? Were you on some recreational drugs, or so? And, please, don't look so hard for the hunting opportunities, because you may be screened as sex addict or sex offender. If it's meant to be there for you and you are healthy, which I tend to doubt, it will happen. What was your goal in life: to have a wife or partner by you or to keep scratching tallies.
I am positive, you know your answer.
Guy, our family friend, at your age ended up 6 deep down by trying to boost his sex drive with viagra. His wife wasn't good enough anymore, so he wanted to explore and live freely with other woman of choice.
Try to practice at fitness places, and if you are gasping for air, your heart needs attention. In order for it to be up, there needs to be something functional to hold it up. Only healthy heart is capable of it.
All my fam died from heart probs i am the only one left. I did smoke from age 12 till i was 51. Got tired of the price of smoking going up so gave it up. Never ever did drugs thanks to a much older sis that was a druggie and drunk all of her life and put my parents in the poor house. My goal in life was fishing and spending money honey. Never wanted a wife or kids ever.

Well you need a full blood work up done. That's a start to rule out any diseases like diabetes, etc. Then yes, they might refer you to a Urologists or another specialist.

Many normal healthy men lose their libido sometime after 50 - even some before 50. Most begin to lose it in the late 50's or early 60's, but it's a bell-shaped curve and it is multifactorial. Viagra commercials (and TV in general) is not real life for most people living in a real world. It could be that your T level has dropped below some critical point (that's normal at your age) or, looking around, you just feel turned off by what you see (not uncommon for many people these days). As for me? After 60+ years of living the "born horny" life...I've completely lost interest in the past couple years, and it took me a while to grasp that fact...turns out, both of the above factors have contributed to my loss of interest. But, I'm no worse for the wear. I've found other things to do.

BTW, I'm an expert at this stuff, and yeah...I have to say, most doctors I've talked to are pretty clueless about this topic or are downright uncomfortable talking about it.

BTW: More important, you are at an age when a stress test is recommended (get stents if you need them - they add 20 years to your life) and a colonoscopy (if you've never had one) is useful. Colon cancer is quite predictable these days, and is a nasty way to go if you get it.
