I have two appointments - one tonight, and one tomorrow.
With a family medicine doctor and someone else, tonight.
Are there people out there that do fine on a lower dose (like I seem to have been) and then have adverse effects after the dose goes up in any way (significantly or just a little)?
A relative of mine developed dementia on a high dose of gabapentin. The dr reduced it back to 600 mg or maybe a little bit more and she was fine with taking it for pain. She went back to normal within about twenty four hours of lowering the dose.

We understand that. We are discussing side effects of those drugs and if the side effects are worth it.
I took Gabapentin for years for RLS. I had no side effects but I did have to take larger doses for relief over the years. I asked my doctor what else I could try and he gave me Ropinirole -- same thing: no side effects but, over time, I needed larger doses to get relief. Then he gave me Trazadone, which worked wonders for the RLS. And, after less than a year on Trazadone, my RLS went away completely. That was 5 years ago.
