This is actually a serious thread.

But how often do you use the restroom per day for number two?

When I was much younger, the 'conventional' wisdom was that there was no right amount of times per day for bowel movements. Some people might go only once per few days. Others several times a day.

But nowadays with colon health so important, I'm sure most people will agree that the more the better to keep things moving and prevent toxins from building up.

Ever since I started eating more fiber like oatmeal daily, I've been going at least two to three times per day.

Who counts?
Various people I know were told after the colonoscopy to 'eat more fiber.' I think that's more important for colon health then figuring out how many times you go.

I have taken two tea spoon full of Metamucil every night since 1985. I am now 74 years old. After my last colonoscopy, about 5 years ago, my doctor said "I don't know what you've been doing, but keep doing it." So I do.

I go often enough to get cleaned out. And when I have some issues, drink extra water and extra magnesium and Vit C. No colonoscopy here ever and I'll be 80. I would rather be loose as a goose than tight and bound up.

I am currently eating mainly meat, fish, eggs................so there is very little to "get rid" of. Maybe I have a bowel-movement 2 to 3 times a week.

What, to me there is plenty to get rid of...2-3 times a week. I some days do that in a day. I get really uncomfortable if I don't go....I eat meat too and it's quite binding.

Not having a colonoscopy is nothing to brag about.

I'm not bragging, I just don't do those tests...not the whole world does colonoscopies nor a lot of the other tests they tell us we need.

Colonoscopies save lives. That is a fact.
