Did they show it to you? Did you demand to see the laboratory slide that demonstrated, without a shadow of a doubt that this polyp was cancerous?
In Missouri, you don't need a license to work in a medical laboratory. You don't even need any medical/scientific/biological experience. All you need is a pulse. I cannot even begin to imagine how many UNNECESSARY medical procedures are conducted on patients due to a misdiagnosis resulting from a laboratory employee who didn't have a single clue what they were doing.
I shudder to think how many die because of it.
Not to change the subject *ahem*, I eat a horrific diet and am as healthy as a horse. I drink plenty too. People are just different and react differently to things. Nobody knows, nobody really knows.
Pathologists read and interpret the microscopic findings on the slides prepared from biopsy tissues. These are MDs with specialized training in pathology. They don't have Joe Blow off the street reading, or interpreting pathology slides.
And I doubt seriously that you, or the poster to whom you addressed this response would know what they were looking at if they were to look at the slide yourselves. I wouldn't, unless someone who did know pointed it out to me.
The person who actually looks at the "laboratory slide" is the pathologist, who is an M.D. He definitely has "medical/scientific/biological experience".
How would the average layman know what he was looking at on a "slide"?
Again, yes, but again, look at the rest of their eating habits.
We would have to emulate their food choices, as well, to justify using them as an example (which is doable, but pretty much no one does it).
Yeah diet, in my opinion, is a bigger factor in long life. All I'm saying is that the statement 1 drink reduces lifespan I find highly suspect especially when you see the longest lived people on the planet are rarely teetotaller's.
This study brought to you by MADD. lol Ah, it is all one big joke. I think heredity plays a big part of it and everyone is different. These scientists seem to think all humans are the same. I got news for them. We aren't. For some alcohol is the best calmer you can get. Most in my family drink and most liver over 90. I think I will stick to what my family indicates, not some small study that means nothing to me.
If that were true, I should have died decades ago. LOL, there was one time when I was in a hospital, and the Doc was looking at the reports and shaking his head, he said (and I quote) "I don't understand why you're not dead. You should be dead just from the amount of alcohol in your blood."
So the previous advice was that a drink or two a day actually increased lifespan and prevented artherosclerosis and heart attacks. Now this new report contradicts that. No wonder people are confused.. we are constantly subject to confusing and contradictory information from the medical community.
I don't believe ANY of these "official studies" paid for by guess who--our tax dollars typically to useless universities or think tanks BTW--because guess what, the "results" change when a new study comes out.
