I'm pretty sure Jasper is aware he is taking a "medication"....he is after all taking it..

He already mentioned that constipation is a "side effect" which it is, doesn't sound like he needs to "read up on it"

Dang it! - when I hear"alternative" on here it gets me all riled given the context. I'm sure it happens though, given some apparently are taking a dozen or more supplements.

High cholesterol is the only major health issue I have and would love to eliminate taking a prescription for it. Some medical experts argue high cholesterol is not all that bad.

I am leery of not taking anything to control the cholesterol.

Oh I know you know, I thought you were quite clear on that....

I was responding to another poster who seemed to believe you needed to read up on side effects of a medication when clearly that was not the case....

Have you read up on the other side of the issue? So much fear mongering on the importance of chol. My friend was given the fear talk about 20 yrs ago from her MD, she took statins for years and dealt with the side effects and lives with neuropathy from the drug damage.

Pick up a book, there are many written on this issue. I'm sure the library has a number of them.

Change your diet, do a search on foods that reduce chol.

Since I spent months in 3 rehabs in 2017 and saw some sad memory loss patients, I just wonder how many of those patients have been and are still taking statins and just wonder what their chol levels are. Do the doctors really care anymore.

Could be their chol levels got so low that their brains are starving for fats.

I think this definitely umbrellas benadryl. <<8. Sleeping aids (Nonbenzodiazepine sedative-hypnotics)>>

I currently take benzos or over the counter sleep aides and have memory loss after the pill for an hour or two if I don't go straight to sleep. I can only imagine how much worse this will be in later years.
