You'll be ok. They know what they are doing.

Nothing wrong with being scared about it, though. I know I would be.

Good luck. Hope it's much less worse than what you fear.

Mission accomplished and new maturing fistula grafted in place, the worst part was the mind numbingly boring overnight stay in the hospital, now how with much less apprehension about the future.

Can't blame you for feeling that way, anyone would in these circumstances-not that it would be rated as anyone's favorite thing to do in the best of circumstances.

I'm sorry you're having such a hard time with the fistulas, and everything else. You know dialysis is a life saver, so there is no other option, so I hope as time goes on it gets better for you.

Maybe you can talk to the social worker at the dialysis center, your doctor, and other people there to see what options there are, or their suggestions that might make things at least a little better.

Are you on the kidney transplant list? Might peritoneal dialysis ( which you do at home overnight) possibly be an option for you?

Hang in there, Jambo. I know it's rough, but we're pulling for you.

Yes, hoping for the best. Since it's imperative you must have dialysis, talk again with others going through the same, to talk about your feelings, how to deal with them etc. Or ask for a referral to a therapist if you feel this might help you.
