It is about 5 days since I last drank my last cup. Stopped it to check for cause of allergy that led to my sudden bad ezcema around my legs.

So far so good. Did not have any coffee withdrawal. No more itchy at my ezcema spots.

Congratulations! It's really hard to give up caffeine. You might try caffeine free tea as a substitute. I hope that is your solution to your eczema.

Default Not just yet but...

I usually drink one cup of black coffee with breakfast, with all the new health reports on the benefits of coffee. But it's not great for my stomach.. have occasional acid reflux. I guess if I keep it to one cup in the morning, I'll be ok?

Coffee is toxic! I was drinking it for 15 years, finally gave it up. So many things improved - dry patchy skin i had on the back of my legs disappeared; falling asleep at night is a lot easier; no more anxiety and social anxiety; shinier/fuller hair.... i just have an overall calmness that i didn't have before. I hope you see some extra benefits. good luck.

Have been drinking it for 70 years, have no serious side effects. My mom in law drank it for close to 90 years and my dad about the same. I am sure for some people giving it up makes them feel better. Most of us are not bothered by it and enjoy our daily dose. I have gals I play bridge with in their 70s and 80s who drink it all day long. I will say, I have cut back. I used to be one who drank it all day, now I stop after breakfast

Cannot give-up coffee.

But I did start making sure that I finish my last coffee for the day by 5pm, really helps me sleep better.

You should try even earlier, like noon... just to see if it would help even more.

If you do cold brew coffee at home it'll cut the acid that makes reflux worse. After it's done i store it in the fridge and just mix with water and heat in microwave. It has 67% less acid than coffee made with hot brew methods, it's easier on sensitive stomachs and all with no electricity required

Be aware, there's a lot of caffeine in things like chocolate. It will catch you by surprise when you're trying to sleep and you forgot, "oh, yeah, chocolate bar I ate at 10 PM..."
