I know one person in my life who has a successful CI. Every surgery comes with concerns.

A work colleague of mine went through this with their son. It was successful. Very difficult to predict anyone else's situation because everyone's situation is unique. Just remember the problem with published horror stories...they were particularly bad and the people involved had the most motivation to expose them. The folks who didn't have a bad result are not publishing...they are living.

I hope your sister's story is one of those we never read about.
