Just talking to my good friend and she's really gotten into Dr. Zack Bush's work and listens to his podcasts and he was saying that some patients come thru his clinic and deal with depression and they were taking courses of antiobiotics. I took over 2 months of abx IV abx for the staph infection issue...so wondering now.
So I did some google search and finding some connection with these drugs and depression.
What's the alternative, to not use antibiotics? If I get an infection, I'll take the antibiotics, thanks.
Infections make me depressed.
Didn't post this info to argue for alternatives but to just mention a side effect. Just another thought as to why so much depression around too. Just the messenger here.
Many medications have side effects like depression. Many psychoactive medications have physical side effects. Everyone has to evaluate for themselves if the side effects are worth the positive impact.
Even supplements can have side effects...especially if taken in large amounts.
