I get 6-8 hours' sleep each night, and sometimes take a (very refreshing!) nap for 20-30 minutes or more in the afternoon.

I think that I really need maybe 9 hours' sleep, and I never want to get up in the morning! But this is how much sleep I actually get. I voted 7 hours.

No matter what time I go to bed (which is usually around midnight) I wake up at 6 am and I'm up, baby. Been like that all my life. I no longer work outside the home and so I can go to bed and wake up anytime I like and I am still a six hour sleeper. I feel great. I've never seemed to need more sleep.

My daughter on the other hand needs around 9 hours of sleep. Sheeze, I couldn't FORCE myself to sleep nine hours!

I would love to get a solid 6 hrs every night. Right now I'm averaging a little over 5 hours and it isn't enough. I take some supplements which seem to help for 2 to 3 hours. Then I'm up and I take more supplements which give me 2 to 3 more hours. I'm going to try some sublingual CBD, with a little THC and see if that helps.

I need 6- 7 hours straight through. Sometimes I get up after about 5 hours and am wide awake.

8 hours, because I usually hit the hay at 9:00 PM, my clock radio pops on at 4:30 AM, but it is usually more near 5:00 AM when I actually wake up.

Between 7 and 8 hours might actually be a more truthful statement, since I don't immediately go to sleep when I go to bed, and sometimes wake up before the clock radio comes on.

My body needs 8 to 9 hrs.
I get about 5 though...
I love power naps in the afternoon.
Since I took on full time night shift I have yet to get acclamated on a set sleep schedule. On my two days off I usually crash and burn. I slept 15 hrs the one day...my body demanded it.

Once I retired, I started sleeping more. When working full time, it seems I rarely got more than about 6 hours sleep. Now I routinely get 8+ hours.

Here we go...

Your first accusation is way out there.

When did I say I only needed two hours of sleep? I usually go to bed around midnight and get up at 6-6:30. Yes, the poll might not be the greatest, I'm not a professional researcher, just someone who made a poll on an internet forum out of curiosity.
