Okay thanks. I thought it was just psychological, but maybe I need to get tested then.

Exercise and a balanced diet certainly helps.

As for diet, I don't think I eat more sugar than the average person and try avoid sweets accept for on weekends, when me and my gf go out for ice cream about once a week. I hardly consume any caffeine and do not drink coffee or soda hardly ever. Alcohol maybe twice a week if that is okay.
Maybe the problem is stress?

I agree that you might want to talk with a doctor about this, and look at larger lifestyle issues, but as a temporary measure (at least), I would recommend the Chinese herbal formula An Mian Pian:

In my experience, it's the strongest non-pharmaceutical I've taken for insomnia.

I thought it was stress, mostly cause of job and career related issues going on the past year.

As for exercise, after my kneel heels, I should be able to more so, it's just been a slow healing process.

Not sleeping/not sleeping much/not sleeping well.............these are serious issues. Myself, no way I would settle for being content with insomnia.

I tried to be content but I feel it's effecting my brain, as I have trouble driving sometimes, and concentrating on work and conversations as well.

Vitamin D3 (I take 5,000 to 10,000 iu day) and magnesium bisglycinate.

Take D3 and one of the mag in the morning, and take another mag an hour before bed.

Your body needs D3 to produce melatonin and magnesium is a cofactor for absorption.

I use Healthy Origins brand.

Keep us posted!

The last time I took an Ambien I still woke up three times during the night. I used to take them occasionally but rarely do now so when I took this last pill a few weeks ago I was surprised that I didn't sleep well. I usually have no problem falling asleep, my issue is I wake up way too early, usually between 5 & 5:30 a.m. when I really don't need to get up until 7:00 a.m. It doesn't make any difference if I go to bed at 10 p.m. or midnight. The biggest annoyance for me is I never wake up feeling refreshed, ever.

Okay thanks I will try the vitamins.

Last night I tried the tylenol and I made time to exercise a lot more. I actually felt much more tired after that and ready to hit the bed, after my shower. I thought this might actually work, I feel much more tired than I already am.

However, all it did was make me feel more tired, and I still couldn't actually fall asleep. That's the problem with every suggestion I have tried so far, is that they make me more tired, but they don't actually make me unconscious. I need to slip into actual unconsciousness, and so far everything is just making me tired only.
