Keep things in perspective: Barrett's Esophagitis is caused
presumably by chronic irritation from regurgitated stomach acid (but that regurg also contains duodenal & pancreatic enzymes & bile).... Genetic factors are involved. and maybe the only factor- regurg is such a common problem.
NSAIDS don't cause you to make more acid--- They cause some people to make
less protective mucus in the stomach-- that's why they're prone to ulcer disease.
NSAIDs have actually been found in some studies to reduce the risk of ca in those with Barrett's.
