I recently got a blood test (had to not eat for 12 hours) my blood for my iron is slightly high, however my ferritin (iron reserves) is in normal range. Should I be worried? My doctor said it should be fine because the ferritin is in normal range.
Its just that because im worried that I will get iron overdose and get sick..

Can you post the actual numbers and the normal range for the lab that did the test? Are you male or female? Age?
Do you take any supplements or vitamin products that contain iron?
The average numbers are 10.6 to 23.8 and mine is at 29.1 however my ferritin levels are in normal range.. I am a 24 year old male.
Does anyone in your family have hemochromatosis?
At this point, perhaps the simplest thing would be to monitor the test results by repeating them at regular intervals.
Have you perhaps done genetic testing with 23AndMe or one of the other DNA companies? If so, you will be able to see if you have the genes for hemochromatosis.

Do not take vitamins or supplements containing iron, do not take extra vitamin C, and consider being a regular blood donor.
But the thing is if my iron storage systems are in normal range... doesnt that mean I dont have an iron overdose. Just my iron is slightly more.. should I be worried though?

Yet the iron level itself is elevated.
You did not answer about vitamins or supplements. Do you take any? If so, have you checked the iron content?
