Hope everyone enjoyed their holiday season and will have a healthy, happy new year.
Of course, in all the huppala with running here and there - my last "emergency" pair of sunglasses disappeared.
I have some non-prescription sunglasses that I could use as the frames - but am wondering if anyone's already done the leg work to find the cheapest place to bring them to get them fitted with prescription lenses or if maybe you've found cheap places online where buying the frames and the lenses together might be just as inexpensive as using my own frames and going to a brick and mortar place.
I have a recent eye prescription so I don't need an eye exam.
Prefer some place you've actually used yourself so I know what to expect.
Thank you. Happy New Year and will certainly give you rep.
How expensive they are will depend on the frames you buy and the actual prescription. Most glasses run about $400 or so....much more if you need bi or tri-focals...and get "designer" frames!
Try Walmart if there's one with an optical near you. I got an exam and bifocals put in frames I bought on eBay, and even with a $15 charge for using my own frames and some kind of UV coating, they were super affordable and no problems.
