I bought a pair of glasses at Lenscrafters 11 months ago. They're great.

I keep getting reminders for an eye exam appointment that I had set up for January at Lenscrafters. I'd like to do it tomorrow (to use FSA funds), but I'm pretty sure that I won't need new glasses again.

So: OK to do an eye exam at Lenscrafters, but not buy new glasses? If my prescription hasn't changed, or hasn't changed much, I'd expect the doctor not to recommend new glasses anyway.

The Lenscrafters doctor has 10 slots open tomorrow. I am of course fine with paying for the appointment.

Thanks.

Sure it's Ok. I've done it before and have never gotten the hard sell from the optometry shops when I didn't want or need glasses/contacts at that particular moment.

It's not a problem. I've done it before.

Of course it is okay, even though they are in the same building the Optometrist is separate from the Lenscrafters shop. Many people go for exam and perscription is needed and then order glasses online.

I would never ever go to lenscrafters ever again . The one I went too I got my eye exam and they automatically handed my file to the lady who takes care of the insurance and eye glasses and I let her rattle on about how I would not be able to get glasses anywhere else cheaper , (yeah right ) . Then I told her well I have to go home and think about it and work my finances and the glare she gave me was unbelievable if looks could kill I would not be here now . Then she says okay and slams my file on the desk at checkout . I was like Thank you maam . And she said nothing back .
