OP, asking questions here is fine. We all do, but regardless, no matter who here is giving advise or what training they have your best answers will come from your doctor. He or she knows you the best and is the one to depend on for advise.

Elevated serum ferritin for 30 years. I always blamed it on an inflammatory reaction to alcoholic drinks on weekends.

It has been slightly lower in recent years. Finally went to a hematologist who was not concerned because total Fe and Fe binding capacity were normal.

Incidentally, along with the elevated ferritin, RBCs have been slightly below normal and WBCs slightly elevated for years. Again, MDs not concerned.

What me worry?
