24 hour fitness has decided to go cheap on its members by discontinuing towel service on December 21.
Since there would be no difference in pricing, I guess it’s just a poly so more money would like their pockets.
These days it’s easy to get away with it just by using “environment” as an excuse. But towels would need to be washed anyways its just the matter of who is doing it.
Since they went on a spree to upgrade clubs from sport to super sports back in 2014, many of which they never bothered to add towel service, this move proves that it’s a scam to get people to pay more money to not get much in return. The towels are now the biggest difference between a sports club and a super sports, everything else is location specific.
I would believe if a significant amount of people switched gym memberships in unison 24 hour Fitness would take notice and reverse its decision. 24 hours fitness equipment is pretty basic anyways and there is rarely tv on the treadmills and elipticals.
