Might sound weird to people who have not experienced the hammer pounding nails into your head pain, but I am trying to connect with people in the north parts of Idaho who have migraines.
Where I live at 5,500 feet may be what is causing mine. I would like to know about the lower altitudes and if they prove to be a better choice.

Lots of different triggers for migraines. I’d stay lower if I were you. Mine were mostly triggered by allergies back east.
Mine are triggered by a noticeable change in air pressure. When I lived along the gulf coast I'd get a migraine when a hurricane or tropical storm was forming nearby (relatively speaking)
Migraines could be genetics too. I have never had one, don't even get headaches nor have my parents. I believe the powerful antioxidants I take keep good circulation going and they can help. OP: Do you believe in antioxidants and working on prevention.
I will ge moving to a lower altitude, but waiting for my husband to retire at the end of the year. We are looking at some places in Idaho that are around 2,000 feet.
Yes I believe in Antioxidants, but it is the circulation that can also cause migraines. I know ALL my triggers, but cannot do anything about the weather.
I am a walking Barometer as all migraines people are.
Life really sucks when you cannot plan anything with others. AND now the bloody government refuses to keep allowing people like me to get pain meds!
I used to get migraines but I haven't had one in over 15 years. I started getting them at the age of 10. It was awful.
The absolute worst migraine I ever had was when I was camping at 13,000 feet. At two am I started crying which of course made it worse. My boyfriend was a hero. He struck the camp within about 5 minutes and got me down the mountain.
I get migraines and we're maybe 200 feet above sea level. Mine are related to my monthly cycle, so at least I have some warming when they're about to hit. The pain always lasts three days for me, no matter what I take.
My sister was getting migraines all the time and the doctors were dismissive of her symptoms, treating her like a drug seeker. Turns out she has lupus and her migraines were caused by bleeding in her brain.
