Nope....if it hurts, don't eat/drink it. Your throat is raw from the infection. No tomato products, or anything too acidy. Stick to mild foods/drinks...not too much salt. Try warm or cool drinks...whatever feels best.
Strep throat HURTS...as it heals, you will feel better.
I didn't mean something "silly" like acid. I mean things like fried chicken, candy, ice cream. Stuff that is bad for you, but maybe a bit worse for you with strep throat or at the very least not helpful.

No, it shouldn't hurt your throat in any permanent way. As others have said, take the antibiotics that you have been prescribed. If you aren't doing that, get to a doctor, have the condition diagnosed and take the pills. A strep throat can become something much worse.
Strep throat is not going to kill you, permanently ruin your voice or destroy your throat!
