OP, good for you. I know you feel better and yes, all the improvements in your general health can be attributed, to your changing your drinking habits, except I am not use about the skin. If nothing else, I am sure a lot of us could benefit from cutting back, if we do not want to totally quit. it is like eating habits, some people totally change their habits to improve health, other adjust their habits for that reason.
I do wonder why we seem to, all of a sudden have a new thread on drinking pop up every few weeks.
I do love the adult beverages, but another great benefit of quitting is orgasms are a greater intensity. But really not worth giving up my beers permanently. I'll go one week a month without, then it's daily.
I have two glasses of wine every single evening, and have no weight, dandruff or skin issues. But OP, congrats to you for quitting and improving your health, whatever/however it has done so.

I can't say I don't have a weight problem but it isn't due to a couple of glasses of wine. I agree with you. And yes, the OP should be very happy I am glad he posted. What I can't stand and this is not the OP, are those who preach how awful even one glass of wine or a nightly beer is for us. To me, I find these people way to judge mental.

Well, you wouldn't just on two glasses. The OP is talking about over-indulging. Re skin conditions, yes, this is a lesser-known side effect of heavy drinking:
Oh my gosh, I just looked some stuff up...if you stop drinking for 6 weeks the fatty liver issue goes away!
That is, if alcohol caused it...and it can only be seen with an ultrasound.
They say cut the salt and exercise, too.
Glad I looked at this thread.
Oh, and a black coffee actually aids the liver! It does? Even a fatty liver...
