Insomnia is serious sleep disorder that is characterized as sleep deprivation, Inability to sleep at night or difficulty in falling asleep once you wake up at night.
As sleep deprivation results in lack of concentration, mental stress, confusion. My question is does this disorder directly links to anxiety or stress or to depression?

Query Google Scholar. This has been studied pretty extensively.
OP: Sleep is our body's best healer and never dealing with the so called insomnia, but my share of sleep issues after menopause hit me and also the stuff they call Fibromyalgia, I worked long and hard to get to where I get a good quality 9+ hrs nightly.
We've talked about this issue over and over here and I've posted a lot of what I've done and also posted in Alt Med in separate threads.
Now working with a HGH homeopathic product I'm getting even better quality sleep on what I've been getting. I believe I've posted in the Supplement area on homeopathics for insomnia..you might want to check that out.
So so much of life is being at the right place and keeping mind open.

It sure can. When I have a couple of bad nights in a row which isn't often my stress level goes up, my blood pressure shoots up and my heart rhythm can even get out of wack. And yes, I have had tests to make sure nothing else is causing this. Both my PC doctor and an cardiologist have agree it is stress.

Thanks jamin, after this i have gone through your threads related to this issue. Now my doubts are clear.
Insomnia can mess you up pretty bad. Sleep is when the body rests and recovers. Without it, things can do downhill fast.
