If you need antibiotics (I mean REALLY need) or surgery, then an MD is likely to help you. But don't worship them because of that. They are educated to think that drugs are medicine.
I couldn't say it better myself. The doctors are not going to keep my immune system strong or my eyes from getting cataracts or other eye diseases. That's my job.

When we moved I went to a highly rated dentist to set up teeth cleaning. After he took a 3d scan of my teeth he spent five minutes telling me everything I needed to have done to my teeth. Not a word about cleaning. I told him thank you, left, and never went back.

I am not a cash cow. The stupid thing is he would have had my business if he had just cleaned my teeth and worked with me instead of deciding what he was going to do without my input.

I have no idea what you are talking about. At a guess it's some form of expressing your cynicism towards doctors. Weaken? How? What?

Just addressing your comments about the dentist you talked about. And this thread is about doctor distrust.

Why is the dentist weak? Your comment makes no sense.

You don't get it? You went for a dental cleaning and the dentist went on to other issues and you said you left...so the dentist as I understood your post weakened for longterm business/money. He could have cleaned your teeth and had a new customer as you said.

One thing I can say about the last longterm dentist I was with didn't push for this and that..he got a bit upset when I started to refuse xrays, so he had me sign waivers. Now I do a lot of my own dental health with all I've learned over the last 10 yrs. And making things sink in to my brain like they didn't when I was growing up and let sugars/carbs rule. I didn't know. Those 2 food groups are high acid forming.

Well weakened is the wrong term. He didn't "weaken" to anything. He was just a greedy jerk. No weakness. Just greed.

Glad you're doing so well on your own.

I don't think weaken is a wrong term, you and I just differ on our words. People weaken all over the place and take bribes, payoffs, etc etc etc for more money in their coffers in so many walks of life. And so much of it is greed...it's true so many will never have Enough.
