I bought some Dulcolax Pink instead of regular Dulcolax for my Colonoscopy prep in addition to Miralax. I just read on the box that it had red dye #27. My instructions said not to have any red Jell-O, juice etc. I have to take 4 Dulcolax the day of my prep . Do you think the red dye in the Dulcolax Pink will effect my prep ?
Thanks,
Bessie

I think you will be fine. It's just the dye on the pill that's red and it's a pretty small amount. Call the doctor's office and ask them if you have enough time to do so before the procedure.

Exactly! Ask the doctors office - why didn't you just buy the regular?

The Dulcolax Pink said for sensitive stomachs.

Yeah, everything possible bothers my stomach. I hope that it's not a problem for you.

The dulcolax regular works better for scope prep and YES, the red dye can show up during the scope

It's cheap enough. Buy the correct med and get a good bill of health

Bah, I didn't even notice that! But I took Dulcolax Pink for my last colonoscopy prep and the doctor did not mention any issues....

Intersting when my DH had his colonoscopy he did not have to take any of this stuff. Just the prep they make you get at the Pharmacy with some crystal lite mixed in. he was cleaned out in 30 min.
