I'm a smoker. I don't go out every 15 minutes. I get an hour for lunch, and 2 15 minute breaks...and that's when I smoke.

I don't know ANYONE who goes out every 15 minutes - if you had a real case you wouldn't need to exaggerate your points.

They get as much work done as everyone else who is on their phone constantly with social media and games.

You are not everyone. Most smokers need to smoke more often.

At one of the most recent offices I worked in there was a gang of smokers that went outside very frequently.

No, smoking is not the only excuse for not working but it is a big one.

I've never known anyone to smoke every 15 mins at work. Most places give you 2 breaks and a lunch, and you smoke then.

Even when my office had a veranda where I could smoke I certainly didn't go out that often, and I would fire anyone who did.

I do not think exaggerations help the conversation.

Oh. Pardon me. Well, everyone I work with, who smokes, have the same constrictions. Maybe you're not as expert in the field as you think your are.

I'm thinking you don't really know the subject like you think you do. Do you know how long it takes to smoke 1 cigarette? between 5 and 7 minutes.

Everyone is entitled by law, to 2 15 minute breaks, per 8 hours of work. SOME people are not required to take set breaks. They go when they want. When I worked at Citibank, that's the way it was. Work on a file for awhile, and go take a break.

If someone smokes 1 cigarette that lasts 5 minutes...it might SEEM that they're constantly smoking around the clock, but if anyone actually timed them, they'd see that person is taking their 2 15 minute breaks in broken up increments. It all averages out.

I did work at a place where they probably spent as much time outside smoking as inside working. I can't guarantee it was every 15 minutes because I didn't time it.
