Has anyone else had a problem with this drug? I was given the drug when my pharmacy was unable to fill my prescription for levothyroxine. They were out. They said the 2 were equivalents. I started sleeping 10-12 hours a day and would still be tired. Worse, I began having mood swings. I went back to the pharmacy. They had my levothyroxine in and swapped the meds.

Not a good experience.

Sorry you had problems - never heard of it (had to look it up) - I was on Synthroid for many yrs. then ins. decided it was a hi-tier payment, Dr. was ticked but said Levoxyl was okay and I did fine on that then ins. switched it (mail order) to general levothyroxine and I had a terrible allergic reaction (different binders) - had to get them to agree to Levoxyl (which costs me a whopping $.49 for 3 months worth) - after I'd had to visit my Dr. and a Derm. because my hands had cracked open and were bleeding!

Hope it works out for you but I personally know I can't take Levo.

It is just a branded levothyroxine. They are equivalent

That said, levothyroxine is one of the drugs that is not recommended for switching to another manufacturers product. Your body can be very brand sensative

Your symptoms are weird. But if everything is OK now, just tell your doc on next visit. If symptoms return, call your doc

Family member had side effects on it after taking another generic for years. The pharmacist exchanged it and said she has heard quite a few negative comments.

My pharmacy recently switched to this. I haven't seen any difference after three months.
