those days are gone VTsnowbird...you might still get lucky occasionally, but I've found (many times) that it's up to the patient to follow up. Docs are just too busy I guess.

That first call wasn't really a follow up, it's just to give you the results. They can at that time prescribe additional med giving the results or schedule more tests.

Follow up as in call you to spend time with you and discuss your issues further and offer additional health advice?
You are going to have to make an appointment and talk to them as a new visit and pay the copay.

Great! That's a big plus!

Your PCP should be able to help you with this, give her a call and let her know what's been going on with you.

My cardiologist messaged me within 3 days of my stress test

OP: If you don't have a cardiologist, ask the referring walk in clinic for a referral

...but nobody ever reads it. "It's in the system" so that seems to absolve everyone from personal responsibility for knowing anything about your history.

Not al all. They're on salary and would just as soon see fewer pts-- they'll get paid the same either way.

well I sent off an email to my PCP, we'll see what happens. I did get a very nice bill from them, however, so I guess someone DOES care!

Never assume that anybody is AWARE of anything unless you have a face to face with the paperwork in front of you.
