The world is thrilled to hear that, for the first time ever, a vaccine for a coronavirus has been developed. Just in time to save the world. Stock prices for Pfizer and Moderna, the first two companies to come out with these vaccines, have soared, and no wonder.
These vaccines use a new technology, never before used in vaccines, which is quicker and easier to make. Unlike a traditional vaccine, which contains the antigen, these vaccines contain genetically engineered messenger RNA (mRNA). This mRNA is injected and forced into the cells. It is, of course, not natural for RNA to be injected into the body, and if it enters through the digestive tract is is quickly broken down. But the clever scientists have figured out how to protect the RNA and make it enter cells.
Once inside your cells, this mRNA will cause the ribosomes to manufacture the spike protein of the virus that causes COVID 19. These spikes are the antigens, which will cause the body to create antibodies, which will cause you to be immune to the virus.
So great. What could possibly go wrong? Thousands of people have been vaccinated so far during testing, and the companies say there are no serious safety issues.
Hurrah. But there will be no long term testing, since that would take years. We don't know if there could be unintended effects when foreign, artificial, RNA is forced into cells. Could it result in cancer or autoimmune disorders years or decades later? Well no one can guess at this point. But hey we're in a crisis and stamping out COVID 19 is more important than worrying about future health.
And anyway, if you get cancer or some awful autoimmune disorder years from now, there is no way to know if the vaccine caused it.
So be happy, don't worry.

The results could be frightening.
They need YEARS of follow up to see the actual side effects. But of course, they won't wait years.
Ask yourself if what you are signing up for is truly worth it for a condition that has a 98-99% RECOVERY RATE. Would you trade that for cancer? Debilitating autoimmune disease? Going along for compliance sake? Being terrorized by the fear mongering? What's your price?

The vaccine is millions of times safer than COVID-19.

The healthcare workers will be first in line for the vaccine. If there are any side effects immediately, we will most likely hear about it, at least with the nurses, etc. Their personal stories are often captured in the news. I plan to wait to see what occurs. Not sure how long I will wait.

Did you somehow miss the STICKY at the top of the Health Forum page?
Given how much time you devote here, it's hard to believe that it was an oversight. Nevertheless, let me quote the title of that STICKY for you:
Controversial Topics Such as Pro-Cons of Vaccines Do Not Belong Here (patients, best)
So go post your standard anti-vaxxer warnings somewhere where it belongs.
And let me bid you adieu with your own words: So be happy, don't worry.

Well some experts think that forcing messenger RNA into cells could go wrong in unforeseen ways, such as causing cancer. But that information is censored now.

How could you, or anyone, possibly know that? COVID 19 is harmless for most who get it. These vaccines will not be tested for longterm side effects.

We will probably hear about immediate problems, if there are any. But whatever happens a year or more later will not be blamed on the vaccines. So we will never know how many people get serious illnesses from it.

I know you don't want to think about it. But nothing is more important for health right now.
