Thumbs down Second-hand smoke

Just wondering if anyone has any ideas about what I can do about cigarette smoke drifting in my apt. The neighbors down below are chain smokers. I am a stay at home mom and worry about my daughter's health. They smoke all day on the patio and our patio has wood floors with gaps. It comes through even when the patio doors are shut. Help!

Oh my! I've been there too! Honestly? With apartments the way they are, I'd ask the managers office if they would move me to another unit. The problem is that smoke permeates every single crevice and crack. I had an ex that would smoke in another area of the house and never understood that the smoke just travels all around. I feel the same way about "smoking sections" in restaurants - to me it's like having a peeing section in the pool LOL - Good luck, I'd definitely talk to management about it.

Im going to guess and say that there isn't too much you can do about it. That's one of the pitfalls of apartments. It could be worse, it could be marijuanna, thats my current living situation and the management still won't do anything.

Try getting a good size air purifier for the living room area and a nice little one for your daughters room. I had one growing up and it did wonders for my breathing..

I agree..I'd talk to the manager and see if they can move you.

Good Luck
