There's a shampoo called WEN that I purchased one time on QVC and it was one of the best products I've ever used on my hair. What I didn't like was the pump bottle it comes in. After the shampoo gets low, you've got to sqeeze the excess out of the bottle and I got sick of doing that. Anyway, this shampoo does not lather (lather causes dryness because of all the sodium laurate)
Other than that, putting organic coconut oil on your hair once a week for 30 minutes helps also. Use before shampooing.

I've always used Olive Oil after a highlight. Warm it up, and apply to hair and scalp. Sometimes I will leave it on overnight. It's really healthy for your hair. I have also used Avacado, while it makes the hair very soft, it's rather messy, and makes me want chips, salsa & a margarita !
