I think it will depend on how many more will get vaccinated. Seeing alot of people unfortunately say they are in the wait and see mode.

According to figures from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the average number of new U.S. cases was about 67,000 per day this past week. Overall, the number of new COVID-19 cases in the last week fell 0.4 percent nationwide. It's the first time in 5 weeks that case numbers have decreased.

Honestly I can understand the skepticism of some about using mRNA vaccines but a lot of their research comes from sources that are not the most reputable. From the sound of it around half where I live won't take the vaccine. I've already got the second shot.. I felt maybe hung over from around 12 hours afterwards to 30 hours afterwards.. by 36 hours afterwards I was back to normal (moderna) ... it would be nice to be able to sway the more conspiracy minded of my fellow conservatives but I'm not going to nag them. I feel no difference in my behavior, there is no lingering inflammation, no nanobots embedded in my brain.

I think it's just a matter of some people not trusting authority, which is wired into our DNA as an evolutionary drive to a degree. Conspiracy theories date back to biblical times and before, and some of them are actually true... but where 20% might be true, 80% are bull, because people love to tell stories, and outright make stuff up... people have a gift for conjecture and gossip... it generates site clicks, ad revenue, best selling books, attention....

Either local or National news this evening said that there is a problem surfacing that a large number of people are refusing the 2nd dose of Pfizer and Moderna vaccines so I hope the drop in cases continues and doesn't reverse!
