The real ginger beer and ale are good. The ones like Canada Dry/Schweppes are not and can make upset stomach worse.
For energy lately I have been using strawberries, fresh pineapple, bananas and fresh orange or apple juice and blending it into a smoothy. I am lucky anough to have a couple strawberry farms near me and I pick my own.

Thanks for the tips nay.
I got some Ginger ale and ginger root and ginger cookies at the health food store yesterday. I tried the ginger cookies and giner ale this morning and they seemed to help. Mmmm I could get used to this stuff So Groove, for the ginger root, would I eat a slice like first thing in the morning to help my stomach???

I don't know...I usually eat it with sushi (I only eat the wimpy kind of sushi with cooked fish).
Also, pineapple/pineapple juice works. Fresh is better as always, but even the canned stuff works pretty good.

Another way to use the fresh ginger root is to crush a slice or two in the bottom of a mug, and pour hot water over it to make a tea.
I've always used plain yogurt to ease a queasy stomach.

Saltines will only absorb the ACID and soothe the stomach temporarly. 7UP ,or Ginger ale will create a chemical reaction. Drinking Coca Cola fast will also cause a belching to relieve acid/air pressure. Went thru all that stuff yrs ago which proved to be a bandaid soluntion. Came down to the diet that was being consumed. Tried different foods to see which helped and what might have caused my problems. Took a long time to narrow down what ailed me. Now I cannot eat some foods I like, cause they make my stomach do summersaults or feel SQEEZY. Not everyones stomach is the same so diet is important and not so much for remedys to a problem. You might have a Hiatic Ulcer below the esophagus; Diverticular problem in the Colon;Pancreatic problem;Obstruction in the Intestineal tract. These can all cause your SQEEZY problem. An upper and lower GI will narrow down the problem. I had them more then once and after a HEMROIDECTOMY all my problems were GONE. I'm not trying to scare you, just give an insight to possibilities that may be there. Good Luck, Steve

In addition to what steve mentioned, celiac is a possibility. Keep a record of everything you eat for a week or tow and see what happens. Most (not all) people with stomach problems do not digest dairy well, so yogurt could be worse for some people.

OH YES... Did not mention MILK. Some people are LACTOSE TOLERENT and CANNOT digest ANY food item that contains MILK. Any food item that has a least 1/2 to 1 glass of milk in it will cause a reaction to the stomach. Pancake batter with water (no milk); Cake mix with milk ( a no no). NO DAIRY PRODUCTS included in PKG (read box/pkg for ingredients). Its a bummer I know, but what can you do. I drink 1 can of BEER and the next day I'm sick. NO BEER and I'm fine. Trial and Error.....Again good luck, Steve

I can do some dairy products like yogurt, but not milk...I guess the yogurt doesnt have as much lactose in it (same with most cheese).
