The biggest reason people don't want it is that they think the vaccine will harm them. The incident with Johnson and Johnson blood clots added to this. There are also conspiracy theories about how the vaccine will hurt or kill you.

Why are poorer people not getting vaccinated? Is it because they don't have internet access to make an appointment? They don't have a photo ID? I read Mississippi is the least vaxed state and it is one of the poorest states.

There are also people who think they don't need it because so many other people have been vaxed.

I hate to say this, but do you think people of lower intelligence don't get vaccinated because they just can't understand it, or don't understand things in general?

This group in the U.S. seems to grow larger and larger all the time.....with each passing year.

Poor and uninsured. If they have an adverse effect from a vaccine, they have to miss time off from work or pay out-of-pocket to have it looked at. They're going to avoid medical care until it's unavoidable.

Okay but they're going to miss work if they get Covid.

The whole Covid-19/Covid-19 vaccination topic has been BEATEN TO DEATH! Don't you people have anything better to do with your lives than rehash it even more in new threads? Don't you get your fill listening to all the media fodder?

I'm out. Moving on to new territory. There's more going on in the world to think about.

I'm with you, DONE with covid. Though I see the elements are continuing to beat the covid drum, putting forth new scare tactics to try and keep the populace in line.

The number of vaccines distributed to some areas is limited, and folks in these areas also typically work lower wage, lower flexibility, "essential" jobs such that they can't get off work to get vaccinated. There is also a very troubling history in the US regarding health science's treatment of minority populations.

Then there are those who just don't want to, don't think it's needed, worry about microchipping, etc.

I wish our mods here would help disable those elements by shutting down or combining new Covid-19 threads. I doubt very much there is any new ground in them worthy of discussion.
