This is wonderful news. I love PB&J.
So I can eat a hot dog with a PB&J chaser and it all evens out?

Every hotdog eaten shortens life by 36 minutes

I truly believe that a REAL VIENESA (AKA German Wiener), put together and sold in Germany, Switzerland and the Likes of Austria, would never fall in that LIST.

I believe though that MOST Frankfurter Dogs in America are made with anything except 100 Meat, just read the labels before buying them, thus the 36 minutes is probably a valid number.

You might wanna sink your teeth into a ~Boar Head~ Wiener here in the USA for a shadow of a taste of the real thing from the countries I mentioned before.

Didn't they used to say that every cigarette shortens life by seven minutes, how is a hotdog that much worse?

I think both these estimates could be off by an order of magnitude.
Everyone is different, there is no way to determine a set of numbers like that and have it apply to everyone.

The unhealthy nature of hotdogs has less to do with the meat cuts than the curing salts used to make hot dogs, bacon, sausage, etc, which are carcinogenic. You can put Kale in Sodium Nitrite and it will become much less healthy.

It doesn't seem likely for the diabetic, with all the sugar in jam.

As for hot dogs, I can go along with the 36 minutes, a small price to pay for the enjoyment of a good hot dog.

Processed meats are in the same carcinogenic class as tobacco smoking and asbestos. Group 1
