Does anyone know about the condition "thrombosed hemorrhoids"?

The pain is indescribable. One of the most painful conditions known to man. And the worst part is, removing the clot surgically has no effect on the progression of the condition. With or without surgery, you'll be in exactly the same excruciating pain for 1-2 weeks. I don't know why that is. The only thing that helps is a powerful painkiller like Percoset, but of course it's impossible to get unless you're in the ER.

But even if you go to the ER, many health professionals may not understand why you're in so much pain and may not believe you. To them, hemorrhoids are a "Preparation H" or "sitz bath" issue. Many people, even doctors, don't know about this mysterious condition, which is completely different from regular hemorrhoids. They'll talk BS like "use Preparation H" or "take a sitz bath" or "eat more fiber." None of that has anything to do with this condition, you morons! Thrombosed hemorrhoids are a totally different condition! It won't be helped by "Prepatation H" or "a sitz bath" or any other crap that they always suggest!

Also known as: External Hemorrhoidal Thrombosis

Incision/drainage (removal) of the blood clot does not help, contrary to what a lot of professionals will say (this has been my experience too):

https://www.med.umich.edu/1libr/Surg...ombosedHem.pdf
"Your doctor may remove some of the clot under local anesthesia. This is called ‘incision and drainage’ of thrombosed hemorrhoid. The area will continue to be painful even after this treatment, however. It is unclear if this treatment is helpful in any way."

I had one. The gastro doc cut it out and stitched it up and I have been fine. No problems. One year ago that was.
Best of luck to you

I’ve had two. Both were cut out out patient. The relief was instant. Both happened after pregnancy. My youngest child is 35, and I’ve never had another issue.

Sounds brutal before treatment though.

Must be sooo uncomfortable aside from the pain.

i've been through it too. had bad gut microbiome/bad diet. eventually changed the gut and the diet to reverse it - but not until after the gut dysbiosis brought on a serious autoimmune disease. roids and other digestive issues are a warning sign - something bad is coming if changes arent made. learned that the hard way. gut health for the win -

The thread title sounds a bit erotic, to be honest.
