Branson, do you have documentation for this? I'm very interested in credible research that I can pass on to a friend.
Sorry it has taken me so long to reply to this. I've been out of town and out of touch internet-wise.
I obtained this information from two books. One is called "Four Arguments for the Elimination of Telelvison" by Jerry Mander. And the second is "Amusing Ourselves to Death" by Neil Postman.
Putting ADD and medication aside, I think there is something environmental going on that is impacting many many kids. I don't know if it's the food additives and perservatives and food processing, plastics, the air, lead paint, toys from China, high fructose corn syrup, lack of exercise, pesticides, pollution, cell phones, high tensions wires, tap water, microwaves, computers, mercury fillings and mercury in fish, bad soil, hormones in cows, dirty meat processing, breast milk with bad stuff in it due to what the mother has in her system from the environment or what it is, but I think to focus in ADHD and the debate about medicating children is short sighted and limiting.

nope. wasnt kidding at all. what the problem is, is that parents dont wanna discipline their children, and when their children get a little older and they cant handle them, then they wanna take them to a doctor to "medicate" them. what the problem is, is that we live in a society today that is politically correct or just flat out lazy that people would rather let their child grow up and be someone else problem when it come to behavior. Id really like to see a study of how many people who grew up in the early 1900s whose parents did take them behind the woodshed verses todays society where punishment is sometimes not even there, just tral la la, let the doctor give little johnny some more meds. ..ill get off my soapbox now
The American Pharmaceutical companies want every one taking at least 3 pills daily. they creaate new Syndromes to make people think they have some stupid ailment. ...Like RLS or any of the others. Here is the simple solution get the drugs and additives from your foods, if food has become deficient be sure to get a broad range of foods Stop taking those pills. live long, be happy, treat others well. that is the simple answer to living long and happy and without mood altering meds. BTW stop teaching your kids to reach for a pill to fix a problem.
