Default Wisdom teeth

I got my wisdom teeth (all 4) taken out a week ago. The first 4 days were awful awful awful pain. I thought I was going to die at night. After day 5, it was much more bearable. Now, I barely feel any pain at all. The only issue I have is on my right side, it feels like there's a pinched nerve. When I tongue over the place where my tooth was, I don't feel anything odd. Instead, its the teeth next to the former tooth that have a weird tingling feeling. Is this part of the normal healing process?

Also...am I suppose to have two huge gaping HOLES in my guns? I'm almost afraid to eat rice because I'm afraid I'll pack rice in there and be unable to get it...

You're probably fine. I remember the gaping holes. I had this blunt syringe that they had me fill with salt water and I kept that thing irrigated and cleaned and flushed constantly until the holes filled in.

I was too drugged up to remember any pain for about the first 3 days. Man, that was back during my college days. I remember, when you started to feel a little bit of pain it was too late. Take the drugs and wait for the pain to go away.

Oh, and clean the craters with the salt water syringe thingy.

I suspect what you feel on the existing tooth is some sensitivity since it is now exposed. Give it time...maybe try some sensitivity toothpaste. That syringe is the best thing...your holes will fill in in time but keep pumping water into them to keep them clean. If you didn't get a syringe...call your doctor and ask for one.

koolreg89 is on a distinguished road
I just had 4 taken out yesterday and it isn't as bad as I thought. Was in pain the first day and have a slight fever, but tylenol's been able to get rid of it. Been able to eat scrambled eggs, white fish and mashed potatoes today, with Ensure. Granted I'm only 19 so its not too bad. Just a little bit of numbness and slight lightheadnedness, but still able to drive.
